How to customize your check design?

Your checks can carry your logo, your text, and your signature. This page shows where to find the check design page and what each tool does.

Quick answer: Go to ACCOUNTS > Bank Accounts, click your bank account, then click Edit design. Make your changes and click Save.

How to customize your check design

Step 1

Open Bank Accounts

In the left menu, click ACCOUNTS, then click Bank Accounts.

Step 2

Pick your bank account

In the list on the left, click the bank account whose check you want to change. Each bank account has its own check design.

Step 3

Click Edit design

On the account page, click Edit design under the check picture. You can also click the three dots next to the account and choose Edit Design.

Step 4

Make your changes and save

The check design page opens with your check in the middle. Use the tools on the left to change it. When you are done, click Save on the right.

What you can add or change

The tools are in the dark menu on the left of the design page.

  • Elements: turn parts of the check on or off with a tick box. Static elements are fixed text such as Pay to the Order of, Date, Memo, and Signature Line. Dynamic elements are filled in for each check, such as Routing Number, Amount in Words, and Pay to Name.
  • Text: type your own words, pick a font and size, set bold, italic, or underline, choose the alignment and color, then click Add Text To Check.
  • Logos: click Upload New Logo to add your company logo. The page also has a Generate AI Logo button.
  • Signature: add a signature to the check. You can sign from your phone or email, upload one, sign from a QR code, or sign on screen.
  • Icons, Images, and Shapes: add pictures, your own image files, or simple shapes such as a square, circle, triangle, star, line, or heart.
  • Background: upload a background image. You can change its opacity and size.
  • Bank Logos: upload your bank’s logo.

Move and edit parts of the check

The buttons on the right side of the page help you work: Preview, Grid, Undo, Redo, Rotate, Cut, Copy, and Paste. Click Preview to see the check at full size before you save.

Other options for a bank account

The three-dot menu for a bank account has more options, such as Clone Design, Add Signature, and Change Starting Number.

Common questions

Where is the Edit design button?

Go to ACCOUNTS > Bank Accounts, click your account, and look under the check picture.

Does each bank account have its own design?

Yes. Open the account you want and click Edit design.

How do I see my check before I save?

Click Preview on the right side of the design page.
