What is prorated charge means?
If you use something for less time than planned, you may be charged only for the time you used it. It is called a prorated charge. Proration means dividing something proportionally, usually based on a unit of time. For example, if a service costs $100 a month but you only use it for half a month, the charge would be $50, and the balance will be credited back to your new plan.
If you have more credit than your new updated plan, the rest of the credit will be automatically applied to your next billing cycle. Let’s say you have a yearly plan of $49.99, then after1 one a month, you change to a monthly unlimited plan of $29.99.
In this scenario, you’ll have a credit of $ 45.82 and a new charge of $29.99. You still have unused credit of $15.83, and the balance will be applied to the next month. And the second month, you’ll be paying $14.15, then afterward, you’ll be paying the total $29.99.
